The Pit!
Hog pit, Whole hog cooker, Pig cooker. The devil is known by many names.
The idea of a dedicated space on the patio to make good BBQ, lots of space on the grates for the big cuts of meat!? Everything from a simple “set and forget” pellet grill, to a large Texas inspired “Hog pit”. The project saw the light of day in 2019, and is built around this so-called pit. Hence the name “The Bacon Pit”.

The build process lasted roughly 1.5 years
Although I never quite want to say I’m finnished, the shack and the pit itself is now ready for use, like many other hobbies, BBQ is also a kind of illness that leads to the purchase of new grills and gadgets. So it’s probably alooot more to come!
